Rules of the Game
The structure of the practice will be (approx.):

Passing by numbers - Everyone inside the square with one ball.  Each player gets a unique number 1...  While moving around the ball must be passed from player 1 to 2 to 3,  etc.  Communication!  After one ball is mastered, add a second.

Defensive principles:  When the other team has the ball, everyone on our team is playing defense!  You should know where the other team's players are.  If a player in your area has the ball, 1) get in the way, 2) be a pest, and 3) slow down the attack so help can arrive.

Team D - rule of 3 for D: pressure, support, balance
1) closest player to the ball applies pressues
2) next closest player plays the escape route and passing lane
3) third player slides over so we are pressuring the ball side of the field
Basically, we want to push the ball near the sideline and keep it there.  Forwards and up mids must make sure that the only way the other team can come down the field is on the sidelines.

(finsoccer 124) 1st/2nd Defender - 1 keeper, 1 line of D near goal, 1 line of O near midfield (in line with corner of penalty box).  Go - 1st D serves to 1st O.  O tries to score,  D tries to defend.  Get in the way, no direct shots on goal.
2. add a line of 2nd defenders in the center circle.  Go - as above, and the 2nd defender pursues from behind and cannot go for the ball until they are in a 2nd defender postion (support/cover)
3. add a line of 2nd strikers near midfield in line with the opposite corner of the penalty box.  This player should stay onsides and do some kind of post run to get open.

Rules review if needed - what not to do; free kicks; off sides; touchlines; out of bounds; throw-ins; goal kick; corner kick

3v3 pass and shoot, with GK - 3 lines, 1 GK.  1st player from each line goes to D, next player is O.  After score or steal, D goes to end of lines and O goes to D.

(if time) 8v8 with Corner Goals.  8 v 8 played on half a field.  Set up 10 yard (or smaller) squares in each corner of the field.  These act as goals. Agoal is scored when the ball is passed into the square and then out to a teammate. Each team can attack any of the four goals.
var 1) Play with two balls to open game up.
var 2) Allow a goal if player dribbles in and out of square.
var 3) Insist that passing goals require three players.
var 4) Limit players to 2 touches

15 min. (or whatever works) 7v7 game, 2 goal keepers (or scrimmage with another team)

Team name: We need to vote on our team name.
