In our third practice will be continuing on the skills of:

Offensive and Defensive skills
rules review
The structure of the practice will be (approx.):

WU - Dribble w/ moves - dribble around a big square creating good space.  Use some moves: fake kick,  lunge, shimmy.

Passing by numbers - Everyone inside the square with one ball.  Each player gets a unique number 1...  While moving around the ball must be passed from player 1 to 2 to 3,  etc.  Communication!  After one ball is mastered, add a second.

Review Good Space/Bad Space and Rule of 3 -
1. Make bad space into good space
2. ONE  of our players should always be on the ball
3. when you have the ball look for your 2 supporting teammates
4. don't pass right to your teammate... pass to the open space where they are going
(may need to show on whiteboard)

Zone Passing - Divide the large square into  two equal zones with 4 players on each of 2 teams (one with pinnies).  Gold  starts with the ball,  all 4 players in one zone plus two of the other  players.  Count the number of successful passes.  If the ball goes  out of bounds or Red intercepts, Red gets the ball and passes to their zone.   2 Gold players follow Red to their zone and the game continues.  Swap for the resting players.

Rules - what not to do; free kicks; off sides; touchlines; out  of  bounds; throw-ins; goal kick; corner kick
watch the pushing and stay on your feet!

3v3 pass and shoot, with GK - 3 lines, 1 GK.  1st player from each line goes to D, next player is O.  Play just like throw-in game.   After score or steal, D goes to end of lines and O goes to D.

Full Speed dribble and shoot - 2 lines,  each player has a ball, coaches on (light) D, no GK.  Each player dribbles at speed toward goal, avoids coach and shoots.  Player retrieves ball and goes to end of other line.   Can add GK and rotate players into D.

optional scrimmage with other team
