Jun. 1, 7P, TBD We will be working on the skills of: finding the open shot **Passing/Receiving/ball handling warm-up - double passing square 5x5 grid inside a 10x10 grid, 3-4 players at each corner (large grid), 1 ball at each corner C D * * * * A B First player at each corner doing pull-back/tap (alternating feet) #1. in/out touch and pass - rt inside foot/outside foot touches until reach inner cone - left push pass to line at right, follow ball to end of line - pull-back/taps, then next group. continue Alt: reverse direction, outside of foot or laces pass #2. outside foot, circle turn, pass - rt outside foot dribble to inner cone (1 dribble per step) - at cone, cw 180 turn around cone with outside of rt foot - left foot inside pass to line at right (facing) continue Reverse Direction Alt: outside of foot or laces pass Coaching points: prep/move feet as ball is coming. lift foot to contact ball in center to trap. plant foot pointing toward pass. all passes solid (not too fast) and accurate (to correct foot of receiver) **4 corners - 1 line by each side of goal, 2 lines 28 yds out from goal. - pass from post, diagonally to shooter. 2 touches then shot. - rotate to next line coaching points: sight goal and ball before shot, eyes follow ball, head down and drive ball with laces, plant foot towards goal, use left and right feet **2v1 to goal - 2 lines 25 yds out (attack), 1 line by goal (D), 1 Keeper - keeper sends ball out to attackers who work to goal with D pressure coaching points: work ball away from pressure, make D make a decision and commit, solid accurate shot, use moves to create space **3v2 to goal **4v3 to goal **shooting contest 2 lines at intersection of PA and goal line, cones staggered to outside corner of PA, cone 28 yds out, cone shooting line at D. - players dribble through cone obstacles, around far cone, then toward shooting line. Must shoot before or at the shooting line. 1 pt for successful goal. Player retrieves ball and goes to other line. Must shoot rt foot on rt line, left foot on left line. go 5-7 min and keep track of successful shots. **small-field scrimmage to big goals to encourage shooting
